LifeSize Video Center in the Community

Videoconferencing is a powerful tool that we are seeing rapid adoption of in healthcare, education and business. While the economic implications of videoconferencing are often the topic of discussion (saving businesses millions in travel expenses), what is often less prominent are the advantages of videoconferencing in the community as a means to enrich individual lives.
LifeSize Video Center is a powerful tool that allows HD streaming, recording and auto-publishing, all with the click of a button. The capabilities of LifeSize Video Center have a number of implications for the business world, and in the weeks to come, we will be discussing features and uses of Video Center, as well as offering a Video Center demo.
Last weekend in Austin, TX, LifeSize partnered with the American Red Cross and One World Theatre in August 2010 to provide HD video conferencing systems to broadcast the performance of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ by children to their deployed parents serving on various bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.
